HOW complete is the data?

The data on BRFC Archive is believed to be very nearly complete for competitive first-team matches, covering league, cup, and other official competitions from the club’s creation to the present day. Player, match, and competition records are regularly checked and updated as more games are played and new information becomes available.

Some details is still being added. In particular:

  • Friendlies, pre-season matches, and wartime competitions are not currently included, but we plan to expand coverage to include these in the near future.
  • Goal times, substitution minutes, and red card minutes are missing from some earlier matches.
  • In a small number of cases – especially in early matches – there are unknown goalscorers. This is clearly indicated where applicable.
  • Data from the current 2025/26 season will be added shortly and updated regularly thereafter.

If you spot something missing or have information that could help fill a gap, please get in touch. Contributions are always welcome.

hOW ARE PLAYER MINUTES CALCULATED?

Player minutes are calculated using available data on line-ups, substitutions, and red cards, applying a consistent set of rules:

  • Starting players are credited with 90 minutes unless substituted or sent off.
  • Substitutes receive credit from the minute they entered the match.
  • Players subbed off or sent off are credited up to the minute they left the pitch.

Where exact timings are unavailable, the following estimates are used:

  • The player subbed off or sent off is credited with 60 minutes.
  • The player subbed on is credited with 30 minutes.
  • Substitutes who enter the match after the 90th minute are credited with 0 minutes.

For matches involving extra time (e.g. in cup competitions):

  • Starters who play the full match receive 120 minutes.
  • Substitutes entering during extra time are credited with minutes up to 120 (e.g. a player subbed on in the 105th minute receives 15 minutes).
  • Substitutes entering after the 120th minute are credited with 0 minutes.

Injury time is not included in total minutes played. These methods help ensure consistency across matches, especially where full data is unavailable. Records are updated as more detailed information becomes available.

HOW can I contribute?

There are several ways you can contribute to BRFC Archive, whether you want to help improve the accuracy of the data, share additional information, or support the project more generally:

Spread the word: Sharing the site with others — whether through social media, forums, or word of mouth — is a great way to support the project and help more people discover the archive.

Report errors or missing information: If you spot a mistake — whether it’s a player stat, match detail, or competition record — or if you can help fill a gap, please let us know via the Contact page. Include as much detail as possible so we can verify and update the record.

Write a player profile: Help build the archive by contributing a player profile via the player profile submission form.

Suggest sources or share your own research: If you know of reliable sources — such as books, websites, or personal archives — or have carried out your own research into the club’s history or statistics, we’d be glad to hear from you.

Report bugs or site issues: If something on the site isn’t working properly — broken links, layout problems, or anything else — please let us know. It all helps keep the site running smoothly.

Make a donation: If you’d like to help cover hosting costs or support future development, you can do so via the Support Us page.
